Description
Ceftriaxone & Tazobactam for Injection
Riqicef-T Kid Injection is a sterile combination of Ceftriaxone and Tazobactam formulated for intravenous (I.V.) and intramuscular (I.M.) administration in pediatric patients. Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects Ceftriaxone from enzymatic degradation, thereby enhancing its effectiveness against beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.
This combination is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of susceptible bacterial infections in children, including infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ear, nose and throat, skin and soft tissues, bones, joints, abdomen, and bloodstream. The addition of Tazobactam extends the antibacterial spectrum and helps overcome bacterial resistance caused by beta-lactamase-producing organisms. Riqicef-T Kid Injection should be administered only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.
